Additional comments |
As a student during the WWII years, we were not really involved with the war. However, as a member of the Army nurse cadet corps, we were acutely aware of replacing U.Va. hospital nurses serving with a hospital unit in Europe. Our role was unique and valuable. The level of sophistication the student body held at that time served as an impetus for greater involvement in life's efforts.
