It was a particularly good program, one that isn't awarded any longer. It gave a wonderful overview of problems and needs within the nursing profession, and prepared me for problem solving in future situations.

Education beyond B.S at UVA include M.S. from Trinity U. San Antonio, TX, counselling & guidance. Also, more than half a doctorate from Catholic U. in Educational Technology. Experiences in Army were extrememly varied and a little out of the ordinary: teaching, recruiting, Chief of Recruiting for ANC for entire country, consultant Educational Technology at Armed forces Institute of Pathology. Since retirement from Army 1975, have been extremely involved in the community: directed meals on wheels program for 14 years; serving on various boards: Symphony; Norfolk Society of Arts; AAUW (Am. Assoc. University Women); Town-and-Gown (connected with ODU); Little theatre; English Speaking Union; Mayor's Task Force on Aging; Volunteering at Chrysler Museum. Since retirement from Army in 1975, have been extremely involved in the community. Directed Meals on Wheels program for 14 years.
