Although was different and many adjustments had to be made, it was an experience I enjoyed very much. It taught me many things I still use to this day. If I had my life to live over, I would do the same thing again at the same place!

Additional comments |
Nursing had changed very much in the past 50 years. Being from the "old school" I hate to see the professional ethics change as much as they have. While nurses today have a broader education, and expertise in many areas, I have noticed in many hospitals the lack of caring, friendliness and respect for the patient and their families. This used to be an important part of nursing. Education is very important, but do not allow nurses to forget that "laying on of the hands" is just as important and necessary as education and paper work and the computer.
