I was the first married female student accepted in the School of Nursing (class of spring '46). My husband was in the Army. The school permitted me to stay out of the dorm with him when he visited for school days prior to being sent overseas. This was close to the end of my first 6 mos. and it made me feel trusted and accepted by the school.
