Additional comments We were very carefully chaperoned. Our housemother met our dates and often gave us her opinion. We had a curfew of 10 pm except for once a month 11 pm leave. We always took our escorts down the receiving line at our dances. We were discouraged form having any "friendly" conversation with our patients or exchanging any personal information. We were proud of our caps which we received at a specific ceremony and also the black band we put across it when we became seniors. We wore capes outside in old weather. The sleaves on our uniforms were adjusted to suit the weather, but [?] were thought to be unsanitary.
