At the time tuition was only $500 for three years of education. I had worked and saved the money before enrolling.

I had several intelligent caring instructors the first year. The 2nd and 3rd year they were very average in ability.

The nursing instructors (2nd and 3rd year) were rather non-involved in our dorm lives or even our long working hours in the hospital. There was even a time when a fear of loss of accreditation took place due to our working conditions.

Knowing and associating with other students. They were so bright and articulate. I am particularly proud of the Honor System and the manner in which the students held it in esteem. It is part of my life.

The feeling in the hospital was that we are all here to learn. People (doctors, med-students, other nurses) took the time to teach.

I felt very prepared. I worked in several hospitals in the immediate years following graduation. There was nothing that I felt I did not know how to do. I felt secure and knowledgeable.
