Most of our professors interacted very well with our class. Our class sponsor, for all three years, was Mrs. Ann Hemmings. She was always available to us.

Back then, the nursing students helped staff the hospital. We had to work each shift and sometimes be in charge of the unit. This taught us great responsibility and to be caring and leaders in our careers.

My experience was one of the most memorable and best times of my life. At that time, there were very few females at the University and we felt privileged and honored to be a part of such a great University. As I said before, the program at that time taught us the leadership and responsibility we needed to make our careers successful. I have certainly succeeded in my career because of my experience from U.Va.
