Additional comments I was in the diploma RN program. It helped so much to work in the hospital as a student nurse. The experience made the transition from student to RN much easier. However, afterwards, I felt working as much as we did wasn't good. The student nurses really staffed (underlined) the hospital but the experience was valuable. I wished I had had classes and experiences in Public Health Nursing that wasn't given to diploma students at that time.
