Comments on preparedness I've always felt I had the best nursing education possible at U.Va., and that it opened doors for me when asked where I received my education.
Most significant post-UVA events
Comments on most significant event 2 yrs. after graduation, found to have tuberculosis and couldn't work for 18 months, then could only work part time. Not much chance for further education or advancement in work.
Personal factors that affected professional life
Comments on personal factors Married and didn't work for 17 yrs. while rasing children. When I returned to work, it was no problem to pick up where I left off, but family obligations prevented all-out pursuit of "career."
